About Us
OUR KENNELS
Started in 2002, Highland Valley Kennels is a modern family owned facility located in the small mountain community of Ramona, California just Northeast of San Diego.
Our 4 acre ranch offers plenty of space for our dogs to run play and explore. Our puppies are raised in a family environment and are acclimated to children soon after birth.
Our 55’ X 60’ kennel facility is fenced to keep unwanted predators out but gives the dogs an open area to run, dig and play in. Within the kennel area each kennel is situated on a cement pad, inside building access to keep them warm and shade covered outside to keep the dogs comfortable on hot sunny days. The kennels are also cleaned and washed down twice a day, as well as sanitized weekly.
All of our dogs are AKC registered and OFA hip, heart and eye certifications are done at two years of age to ensure their good health and the health of their pups also. All pups are checked by a veterinarian and given a clean bill of health. They are also dewormed, given their first shots and microchipped before they leave for their new homes.
We selectively breed both show and hunting types of Golden Retrievers. Both types are of excellent blood lines and very good conformation. We care very much for our dogs and regularly spend time with them. Besides being a great sporting breed as well as beautiful show dogs, Golden Retrievers are wonderful family companions that are loyal and love to please their owners.
