Highland Valley's Guarantee

Our GuaranteeHighland Valley Kennels. (HVK) guarantees the health of your puppy ten days from the date of purchase. This includes any congenital defects as well as disease. We recommend you visit your veterinarian within those ten days to assure your puppy is in good health.
If your puppy is diagnosed with defects or disease you may return your puppy and we will replace your puppy with a comparable one. If one is not available you may choose to have the first pick of the next litter or you may receive a refund. HVK reserves the right to have the dog tested by a veterinary facility of our choice at no cost to you to confirm that the described condition does exist. If it is determined by a qualified veterinarian that abuse occurred causing a health problem the warranty is null and void. If it is found that the said abuse was of a deliberate nature, HVK will report said abuse to the proper authorities and your dog will not be returned to you.

Two year hip, elbow, eye & heart guarantee
HVK guarantees your dog to be free of congenital hip/elbow dysplasia and congenital heart disease (as defined by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) for a period of two years from date of birth. We also guarantee your dog to be free of congenital eye disease (as defined by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation) for the period of two years. If your dog is found to have congenital hip dysplasia, congenital heart disease or congenital eye disease, you may return your dog and we will replace it with an equal or better quality dog from next available litter. If a litter is not available within 12 months, if you desire, we will grant you a full refund.
HVK reserves the right to have the dog tested by a veterinary facility of our choice at no cost to you to confirm that the condition does exist. This is due to the fact that many veterinarians do not have the knowledge in taking x-rays that is necessary to make this determination.
Other Information
If for any reason during your dog’s lifetime, you can no longer take care of your dog you may return your dog to HVK. We will do our best to place your dog in a good home or if necessary we will keep the dog at our facility. We do not provide a refund in this case.
Limitations
In the case of a return, HVK will not be held responsible for any accrued expenses related to the upbringing of your puppy. This includes but not limited to food, veterinary visits, medicinal items, toys or any other items related to the normal nurturing of a puppy.
